At first when I read his biography, this guy didn't seem as audacious like Ernest Hemingway or eccentric like Edgar Allen Poe. He just seemed like a person set with a nice life with no absurd love affairs, scandalous interviews, or any illegitimate children. He's simply a famous poet. However, after spending time reading his biographies and poems, we see a whole new world brought by this so-called "boring" person. He's talented with many professions such as a pilot, professor, and of course a poet. With this plethora of professions its no surprise his writings vary in forms ranging from prose to dramas. But the most important quality you need to get out of Mr. Nemerov is his humor. He makes the most simplest things into a dazzlingly comical story like his Goose Fish poem. Using this humor, Nemerov combined his city-life with nature's influence to remind the world of nature's looming power. Through his poems, he displays a blunt perspective on complicated issues to address topic without any frivolous romantic issues. He is realistic in a comical way. His interviews are described as some "stand up comedy series." So even though he doesn't have a horrible or depressing life, he's a pretty cool guy by staying chill and going with the flow.
